Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar
Dr Jonnalagadda Raghava Rao, scientist has been honoured with the Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar (IGPP) 2008 for developing India’s first bio-processed leather that ensures near-zero waste in the leather tanning industry. President Pratibha Patil honoured Dr Raghava Rao with IGPP 2008 on the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5, 2009).
