New open adaptive threat management solutions
On March 9, 2009, Juniper Networks announced the launch of its Adaptive Threat Management Solutions, the industry's first open solution set that provides real-time threat defense with unparalleled network-wide visibility and control at scale to reduce risk and increase productivity, while significantly reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO). Based on a dynamic, open security infrastructure, Juniper's Adaptive Threat Management Solutions leverage new and enhanced technologies based on a best-in-class networking product portfolio.
The solutions are based on a flexible "pay-as-you-grow" deployment model, which can simultaneously reduce risk, lower TCO, and increase productivity. The Adaptive Threat Management Solutions include: new SRX3000 Series Services Gateways; a new release of Juniper's network access control (NAC) solution, Unified Access Control (UAC) 3.0; new market leading Secure Access (SA) SSL VPN 6.4 technology with new standards-based interoperability functionality; and new releases of Juniper Networks Security Threat Response Manager (STRM) 2008.3 and Network and Security Manager (NSM) 2008.2 with advanced network management, threat response, and reporting.
“Implementation of IT security today requires intelligent solutions that can coordinate across multiple devices, correlate threats from the edge to the core and adapt in real-time," said Jeff Wilson of Infonetics Research. "Juniper's Adaptive Threat Management solutions provide a combination of improved security, decreased cost of ownership, strong security administration tools, and automation of common IT tasks. These solutions can help free up resources for businesses to become more agile and focus on innovation -- a powerful advantage in these uncertain times."
